A note from the Councillor
Hello residents of Ward 13

Dear Friends

I hope you are well and rejuvenated after the holiday season. As we settle into the new year, I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a belated but nonetheless heartfelt Happy New Year. I hope your holidays were filled with joy and warmth.

As we step forward into January, we also enter a crucial period for our community – the budget season. Council is now faced with the challenging yet essential task of deciding which parts of our strategic plan will be prioritized for funding. This process is critical for shaping the future of our community.

Let’s approach the year ahead with optimism and a collective spirit to make it a successful and fulfilling one.

Regards,
David Ferreira

Kensington Bridge Environmental Assessment Complete

The Kensington Bridge is a 90-year-old structure that that crosses over the North Branch of the Thames River. Given the age of the structure, and repair needs, the City of London
initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study that recommended the rehabilitation of the bridge with an arrangement that accommodates motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.

The proposed works are sensitive to the cultural heritage value of the bridge, while extending the functional service life of the bridge by 50 years.
