Safe and Clean Neighbourhoods

Our neighbourhoods, parks, green spaces, roads and other public areas are sacred, and everyone should be able to feel safe and enjoy them.

  • Ensure our commitment to the Safe Cities initiatives that allow our public spaces to make our city accessible to women, girls, nonbinary, trans individuals, indigenous, and survivors
  • Continue work with city partners to ensure programs are realized that spread awareness, increase public knowledge, education for bystander intervention aimed at creating an environment where sexual and racial violence is not tolerated
  • Create public education programs aimed to reduce litter, cigarette buts, one-time use drink cups, bio-hazardous materials, and other forms of trash from being discarded in our public spaces on the ground
