The City of London has begun the third Phase (Phase 2A) of a construction project to reduce flooding in the Oxford Street and Proudfoot Lane areas and provide environmental enhancements throughout the Mud Creek corridor.
The City of London is gearing up for the Clark’s Bridge Widening project, scheduled to start construction in the spring. Initial steps include tree removal and other environmental preparations starting this month, with trees targeted for removal marked with white spray paint. A plan is in place to protect remaining trees and to plant new ones post-construction. Significant construction activities on Wellington Street/Road from just north of Clark’s Bridge to Watson Street are expected to kick off in spring 2024 and will extend into 2025.
