During his State of the City address, Mayor Morgan highlighted our city’s priorities: Job creation, climate change, and housing. We are striving to create a permanent and sustainable system to address homelessness, poverty, mental health and addictions.
The mayor also announced a $25-million donation in our quest to address homelessness from an anonymous London family. The donation has been placed in the new Health and Homelessness fund administered by the London Community Foundation in order to fund the initiatives that come from the Health and Homelessness Summit. The family has also agreed in addition to the initial donation, to match every dollar donated by Londoners up to $5-million total, which could potentially raise the amount in the Health and Homelessness fund to a total of $35-million.
If you are interested in donating to this historic initiative for our city, please check out the Health and Homelessness Fund for Change.
Every four years, the City of London prepares a Strategic Plan that identifies the shared vision, mission and priorities that will guide the City’s next four years. The Strategic Plan reflects the needs and expectations of the community, and drives decision-making through the Multi-Year Budget and the City’s Technology Investment Strategy.
Please Get involved
To make a strategic plan that works for everyone, we need to hear from you. Please check out the City’s draft Strategic Plan 2023-2027 and add your input:

On January 26, the SPPC underwent deliberations for the 2023 Budget Update and concluded with a tax rate increase of 3.1%, which is down from the initial starting point of 3.9%. SPPC was successful in reducing the tax rate increase for 2023 while maintaining services including above provincial standard winter sidewalk maintenance, continuation of the Neighbourhood Playground Program, and halving the reduction of funding for closing the infrastructure gap.
I will be holding a town hall regarding our Strategic Plan 2023-2027 for Ward 13 residents on February 23rd. Please drop in for information, and to provide direct feedback and input into London’s next Strategic Plan.
